Εδώ, όπως και σε όλο του το έργο, ο Debord χρησιμοποιεί ευρέως τη μέθοδο Detournement.

Από μια πορεία καθοδηγούμενη που προωθούσε το life style της εποχής σε μια μεταστροφή ,σε μια πορεία ακαθόριστη όπως πραγματικά είναι η ζωή. μια μεταστροφή προς τα μέσα ,προς τον μέσα κόσμο και την ανακάλυψη του.

In the morning, takes a cup of coffee and leaves for a job that is not really related to his profession. Entire day thinking about what he's going to do when he gets home, about his creativity, how his work looses quality and wastes time. At dusk he gets home, exhausted but happy to have the opportunity to work what he actually wanted while he was at school. Stealing time away from his sleep, working, enjoys in peace and quiet music. Tomorrow early in the morning, he gets up and goes to work. Waits for the weekend to go out to town and see his friends.
Type B
There are those who stay at home after first coffee in the morning. After the fist one comes second and third, even though the day has already begun, he is still trying to wake up, reading morning news, things that must be read every day. And just when he decided to finally start working, his friends call him to come over to "their place" for a drink or three. They talk about current things, harshly criticizing shape of the art scene, government, bad timing and so on. As he comes home, he figures he got really tired today and how nice it would be to lie down a bit and watch some tv. He is the night bird, ever since high school he was at his best at night. Waking up from his afternoon nap, he figures he isn't really in a mood for work. He should have napped for only an hour, not three. Now he has a headache and everything bothers him. A movie is just starting on tv. In order to make himself more comfortable, he goes to make some tea and gets back to his place at the sofa, the movie looks good. Late at night he sits down to finally do some work, but he doesn't really have any inspiration, yawns. Idea from the day before yesterday. He got it while waiting for the green light in his car, it's not even that interesting. Nervously trying to do some brief, but it's just not working. He gives up convinced that things are best done in the morning and tomorrow is a new, promising day. He goes to sleep.
Type C
They are rational and up and about since early in the morning, their schedule is full, their cells keep ringing. Sleeping for only a couple of hours a day, they always look fixed and in a good mood. They drive new car, bought on leasing. Working for advertising agencies and happy for having found a way to use their diploma in Art. Their motto is "if you have money, you can do anything". For them, every problem has a solution. They know people, they know everything. They love their credit cards and new restaurants. They eat salad for lunch, because it's healthy. Of course, shopping regularry is a must if you want to be a real dandy, good brand shows personal identity. They have a rich social life: gallery openings, promotions, VIP parties, sniffing, quick sex, after party... Even though they claim how much they enjoy speedy life, at weekends, they are usually unavailable. They sleep the entire day or go out of the town with someone close so that they can enjoy some peace and quiet, even if it's just for a little while.

ΑπάντησηΔιαγραφήΠρέπει ένας δημιουργός – καλλιτέχνης να μπει σ’ έναν συγκεκριμένο τρόπο ζωής για να μπορέσει να δημιουργήσει και να χαρακτηριστεί ως καλλιτέχνης; Ένα έργο μπορεί να είναι ο ίδιος τρόπος ζωής; Αυτό που διαφοροποιεί έναν καλλιτέχνη από τους υπόλοιπους είναι η ικανότητα της δημιουργίας και της υλοποίησης ενός έργου. Ο τρόπος που λειτουργεί και ζει ο καθένας διαφέρει όσο και ο χαρακτήρας του, πολλές φορές από επιλογή και άλλες από ανάγκη. Τα ερεθίσματα και η έμπνευση που προκύπτουν μέσα από την καθημερινότητα και την ρουτίνα της ζωής ενσωματώνονται μέσα σε ένα έργο από τον δημιουργό ως την αποτύπωση μιας προσωπικής εμπειρίας ή άποψης. Το σημαντικότερο όλων είναι η παραγωγική δημιουργία έργων ανεξάρτητα από τον τρόπο ζωής και το κοινωνικό υπόβαθρο του καλλιτέχνη. Ο θεατής στέκεται πάντα μπροστά στο έργο, δεν ζει δίπλα και μαζί με τον καλλιτέχνη. Το ίδιο το έργο μπορεί να δείξει πολλά από την ζωή και τον χαρακτήρα του καλλιτέχνη. Ο καλλιτέχνης από μόνος του δεν μπορεί να δείξει το έργο του…
